The Path of a Man - My Path

 

I have gone through various situations in relation to my father, my mother, and my faithful wife. I have dealt with addictions to all sorts of things, but please don’t read too much into this. I have reached a conclusion that now serves as my motivational point. A man’s path is a solitary one. It’s a journey where a man must separate himself from his relationships with his mother, his partner, and his children; detach from dependence on sexual life, from the support of his mother who may have been a lifelong pillar, from television, the internet, the World Cup in football, and other supportive crutches, as well as from finances and power, the desire to control, and the desire to own. He must begin to take risks if he is still willing and able to move further along his path of masculine strength towards fulfillment.

 

I myself have embarked on a journey that does not end, perhaps only with death. My steps are slow but clear. I feel that I need to find my stability and balance with my heart now. It is not easy for me to live in a consumer society driven by money, but I am trying to find my path of honesty. So that I can stand upright both before myself and before my loved ones.
