My name is Helena Habartová. I fell in love with ceramics when I was in my twenties. It is a delightful handicraft which helped me to find my place in this world. I learned how to work with a potter´s wheel in small Prague workshops. Pottery wakes fantasy and love for nature in my soul. I love the whole process which is necessary for the creation of ceramic dishes. Even though the ceramic clay is being transformed by humans with a lot of work, it is still a piece of Earth I am trying to understand and work in harness witch. It is a never ending story of growth.
I love to use a spiral shape as a decorative element. It symbolises the flow of life, natural rhymes, energy of women cycles or changing of seasons.
Mostly I am working with a potter´s wheeel. I am using mate glazes or I leave the surface smooth - without glaze - it is the structure that most resembles living nature.
At one time I was especially inspired by peasant pottery glazed with a semi-matt brown glaze and decorated with simple stamping.
We offer finished products set on previous agreements. Most of our ceramic stuff is made of stoneware fired in an electric ceramic kiln at temperature 1200°C.
